Most measuring equipment will produce certain errors during use, and similarly, universal testing machines will also produce errors. According to some technical personnel, there are two main reasons for errors in this equipment, namely errors caused by incorrect installation of the testing machine and errors caused by frictional resistance of the main engine. What are the errors caused by these two types of errors? Let's learn together
Error type one: Errors caused by incorrect installation of the testing machine. Research by technical personnel has shown that testing machines are quite prone to errors when installed incorrectly. If the testing machine is not installed horizontally, it usually causes some friction between moving parts and also affects the vertical installation between devices, which will inevitably lead to certain errors. There will also be a certain amount of friction between the working piston and the working cylinder, and a certain amount of friction between the working platform of the testing machine and the guide wheel on one side of the column, which will result in certain errors. This type of error is usually manifested as positive deviation. If the load cell is not installed horizontally, it will also cause a certain amount of friction in the bearing, and its error is usually manifested as negative deviation. This type of error has a common feature that it has a greater impact on small loads and a smaller impact on large loads.
Error type two: errors caused by frictional resistance. According to the technicians' introduction, this type of error is mainly divided into two categories, namely the frictional resistance of the main engine and the frictional resistance of the load cell. The main part where the frictional resistance of the universal testing machine is most likely to occur is between the oil cylinder and the working piston. Factors such as uneven installation can also lead to errors. If there is something dirty in the oil cylinder or if the viscosity of the oil is too high, it can also cause significant frictional resistance. There are also many reasons for the frictional resistance generated by force gauges. If the viscosity of the oil is too high and the frictional force of the moving needle on the indicator device is too high, errors can also occur. Among these components, if the wear of the force measuring piston belt leads to breakage, it is also easy to produce errors.
This is the two types of errors caused by the universal testing machine that I introduced and shared with my friends. These two types of errors are caused by incorrect installation of the testing machine and friction resistance. The reasons for the emergence of the two types are somewhat different, and the root causes of the emergence of the two types are also different. At the same time, there are also small types within the large categories
