Standard use flow of impact test equipment (Charpy impact)

Sample preparation: impact sample broaching machine
According to the standard (GB/T 229, etc.), metal Charpy V/U notched impact samples are processed.
Ensure that the sample size, notch position and surface roughness meet the requirements.
Sample detection: impact the sample projector
Key parameters such as notch depth, angle, root radius and symmetry are detected.
Confirm that the sample is qualified, and unqualified samples shall not enter the test.
Temperature adjustment: impact the low temperature tank of the sample.
Put the qualified sample into the cryogenic tank.
Set the test temperature (room temperature, -20℃, -40℃, -60℃ etc.).
Keep the temperature for enough time to ensure that the sample core reaches the set temperature.
Impact test: impact tester
Start the machine for preheating, and check the level, safety protection and pendulum state of the testing machine.
Clear and calibrate the energy.
Quickly take out the sample from the cryogenic tank, and complete the centering within 10 seconds.
Start the pendulum impact, and record the impact work, lateral expansion and other data.
Observe the fracture and record the fracture characteristics.
Data processing and reporting
Make statistics, revise and judge the data.
Issue a formal impact test report.
